PROPOSAL FOR HERITAGE TRAILS
PROPOSAL FOR
HERITAGE TRAILS FOR STUDENTS OF 6TH TO 12TH CLASSES
Respected Madam,
As per NEP 2020,
cultural awareness and expression are among the major competencies considered
important to develop in children, in order to provide them with a sense of
identity and belonging.
NEP 2020 suggests
that the students be taken out for visits to various technical sites as well as
heritage sites in consonance with their educational requirements.
Hence, to
facilitate the ‘outdoor experiential learning programme’ for your school, we
have curated some Heritage Trips, with associated activities, such as
sketching, clay modelling, photography, and vlogging. (Please check Annexure
for activities)
§ Visits
to Heritage Sites of Delhi which are in vicinity of the school (Annexure)
§
To choose a tour, the teachers can have a
meet with our expert to discuss the possibilities.
§ The
students along-with teachers can reach the chosen site on a time decided
mutually with us.
§ The
students will be required to carry their snacks and lunch boxes with water
bottles.
§
Caps/Sunshades, good shoes and comfortable
wear should be ensured .
The basic cost for
taking these ‘day trips’ in Delhi will be Rs 500/- per child for a group of
minimum 30-50 students with 3-5 teachers.
Monument fees and
camera fees will be charged extra in case the site visited requires the same.
The exact cost will be given once the finer details have been discussed.
These outdoor
activities can be undertaken from the month of November to February.
Please let us know
a date and time when we can discuss the tour options and activities for your
students and finalise the itinerary.
Best Regards
Dr
Anindita Roy, Design Educator & Mentor
